In the Hwarang Taekwondo International schools commands and salutations are given in korean language. The following sections give a overview about salutations appropriate to the given dan grades. Some supplemental explanations are given as well.

All salutations can be attached the form Nim.
Independent from dan grade the teacher of my teacher is called Dae Sabom (Nim).
That situation ist explained with the following example. Teacher A is 6. Dan. Teacher B is 4. Dan and A's student. C is B's student and 1. Dan. B calls A Sabom Nim. C calls B Sabom Nim. C calls A Dae Sabom Nim, because A is B's teacher.
